A Red Letter Day for the Ranch

On May 19th, Larry and I had the honor to host the Northeast Chapter of the American Red Cross for a unique fundraiser. At first the Red Cross planned to offer a tour of homes to raise money for relief efforts. Then they hit on a new idea: tour of the ranch! Andy Thompson organized a team of wonderful volunteers. I put together a packet of information on the ranch, our brand, the history of the land and our home, the restoration of the historic Butler-Cape House and notes on each room, each cabin, including antiques and artifacts. Hundreds of people went on self-guided tours, which included the new Foaling Center and of course, our friendliest imprinted horses. Andy tells us he raised some good money. And we had a great time showing off the place. Did I mention I just had to create 13 bouquets? I just had to!
